t Rex Note Taking

Introduction

A t Rex is so big as a bus it even has a large head  it could crush 500 bonus in one bite he also has  small eyes and hollow bonus it makes a

t Rex run so fast so when he run up to another dinosaur and kill it.  

 And when he smells the smell goes up it's nose into his brain it also has the best smell of the existent or living  animal that ever came to earth it can smell far far away just like the sharks but a t Rex is so stronger

athletics

One early morning  on Friday the whole school had athletics day and we had to split up  into 4 groups.   The groups were blue red yellow and green. The  yellow group  always comes first because of Kurtas. When it was my turn I was so nervous my was pounding. When the clapper went I burst off running. Then when the siren rang we had to rotate our next activity was high jump.

At high jump you have to jump so high and land over the pole. I concentrated to run on the spots and onto the mattress. Kurtas, Awathan and Leiite made It into the finals. When Kurtas jumped up high it was like he was a bird. When Awthan did not make it he was still happy because he tried his best. Leiite didn't make it as well . Kurtas came first, Awathan came second and Leiite cam third. I felt so happy .

Jaylim Museum trip

On Friday the 20th of November Room 11 and 12 went to the Auckland Museum.  I had Mrs Stikland to show us around.

I liked the volcanos and the dinosaurs but my favourite part was seeing the dinosaur bones.  The man made out of ashes looked like he had jumped into lava, It wasn't real it was fake.

The dinosaurs were so big I saw a velociraptor and a ankylosaurus but mostly i was scared of the tyrannosaur Rex . The ankylosaurus looks just like it  does in the  movies, so does  the velociraptor and  tyrannosaurus.  Then we had to go to this room where we learn about about how dinosaurs protected themselves .

Last week on Wednesday room 11 and 12 went outside on the school field to play non stop i liked non stop  cricket because when I hit the ball so furiously and it went soaring state threw  the air and then i was sprinting so hard when i finished  running i was gasping for breath  because i got 50 runs.

And then we had to switch over and i was  a fielder and when Kurt-as hit the ball i chased it with all my speed so did William  but when we grabbed the ball we dined each other heads so then i let him have the ball.

On Wednesday all of team 3 had athlete  In the morning. When we lined up we linet up into two lines And all of the rotations were. basketball hack sack race And all so obstacles And hoppers but room twelve started  on the hoppers. and  when the Clanging bells rang we had to rota we went on to the obstacles and what you had to do. was go under the hurdles skip in the hoopla  and Jump over the  hurdles, and then we had to come back to class because we only get three rotations each.

Jaylim immersion assembly

On Monday the first day back at School we all had an immersion assembly, so when the bells rang we all had to line  up to walk to the hall’ to have a immersion assembly.   We welcome  everybody back to  school when we went to the hall, we had to sit for a very, very long time.

Team 1 had a karaoke challenge and Marika won,  the prize was a trip to the zoo with team 1, the song they were singing was Roar by Katy Perry.

Team 2 had a movie where they were being chased by dinosaurs they looked so terrified but they managed to adapt to survive so they didn't get eaten by dinosaurs.

Team 3 was about dinosaurs as well, but we had dancing dinosaurs.  Mr Moran was the funniest because his dinosaur name was muscle osaurus and he danced so crazy.

Team 4 was about guessing places where they were like in a jungle, next to a river and under water next to sharks.  Mr Sommerville told them to dance ‘so they won't attack but they

What do they do

My aspiration in the future is to be  a boxer I would have to train every day to get stronger  and more filter so I can win more fights if you don't win you will not be good at fighting when you box they will never chair on they will chair for the other guys  but if you win   every match up to the finals they will always chari for you and not the other players .

What do they wear

They wear a black pants and no techert and boxing gloves but mostly they need a mouthguard so none of their teeth will falls out because if it does they will have no teeth and it will be easy to beat them up so that why you're gonna need a mouthguard.But watch out for bodies jabs they have no fist because someone might  punch someone eyes and then they will need to go to the hospital

why do you want to do this job

I want to be a boxer so i can be the world champion so i can box other players

WHAT DOES A VOLCANOLOGIST DO?

Volcanologist studies volcanos  to check if it will erupt or if it is  extinct. They collected  rocks samples  so they can research it  and and when there done they test it to see when the volcanoes will erupt   

WHAT DOES A VOLCANOLOGIST WEAR?

A Volcanologist wear protective clothing so they don't get burnt  from the heat and laver. They wear a helmet to protect their head  and they also wear some gloves to protect their hands and they wear some boats so you can walk next to the fire.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A VOLCANOLOGIST?

if you want to become a volcanologist you have to be brave and fit and also strong but it will be riske but you could  still save people's lives

WHAT SORT OF PERSON DO YOU NEED TO BE?

volcanologist picks rocks so they can go back to the lab so you can test it when you are done testing it you will have to go and research the rocks and they test it with the laver and also test it with the heat.

CONCLUSION i will feel terrified if i was in a real volcano  and then i will need a suit so i don't  die to defeat.

On Monday we had our  first day back at school.  After the second bell rang we had an assembly to welcome us  back to school.  It was so long and we were so tired  but it was but then it started to get fun when and it was in the hall

first  team 1 had a chocolate and money scramble it was so cool because Loene got a chocolate and  some money

Team 3 were all about ice cream .

But team 3 was about cowboys and builder policemen and that is the end of team 3.  

“Now it's time for team five,” said Mr Burt. What team five was all about was being financially responsible and the actors were Mr Barks and mr Wiseman and there 3 other  teacher to the assemble  was all about what our topic is for this year

cross country

on Monday after lunch the pt England school went to their class and then their teacher took them to cross country. At last it was year 4 boys but first it went year 1 boy and then the year 1 girls and  2 boy and girls and then it went to year 3 boy and girls and then at last it was  year 4 boys turn but Mr Burt told us that we we're not gonna follow any one so then we all lined up. Then Mr Burt said on your marks get set go and off went the clapper. We all sprinted off at the first turn every bodied got slowed down but when we were out the gate I gasped for breath but at the start I was super jittery and nervous but at the first turn mus splattered up my legs and some newel went up my pants and back but I was steel determination to win but I was doing a steady jog and even burst for speed to beat William .

Fireman David

On Friday a fireman came and his name was Fireman David. He came to teach all about becoming a fireman. One of the things he said is that you have to do is a test.

One test is called rat maze but you have to do it blindfolded. For the test you need to hold on to a piece of string but if you let go you are straight away out  and that means no job for you. He also told us have to hold a string to the end but if you let go of the string you are automatically out. People have to feel their way out and some people quit when they're halfway there because they are not brave.

He told us what you need to do when you're in a fire. He told us he has to figure out plans in the fire truck. If they stand up in the black smoke they can not see anything but if they stay down low they can crawl to find the fire. When the there is a fire they can just turn on the taps and then they can just put out the fire straight away and David also told as what you need to do when you are in a fire drop and roll.

When the smoke from the fire comes it sets off the alarm. So that's why they crawl. When they find the fire they get the water bucket and splash it on the fire.

Fireman David said if you lose then you are not a fireman. But if you pass the test you can be a fireman too. Listening to a firefighter helps me understand how to be a firefighter.

What do they do

first you have to be enthusiastic instead  of boring but you  have to have lost and lost of skills and you have to have some skills that  you're  good at  like if you were playing rugby leg you would have to be strong and fit .

Firefighter

Being a firefighter is a challenging job. You have to be fit and mentally strong.

What do fire fighters do?

Fire fighters are a strong team they protect each other they can save lives  by putting  out the fires. Every time they save people's  lives they get cheered  on to do other great things.  Some people. Even say that they are heroes.  They also  attend accidents as quickly as they can or the car might burst into flames then they will have to put it out and they don't  want that to happen that will be a total bad thing. They also help people to be fire smart and prevent fires by going to their schools and some of the kids go to the fire station too.

What do firefighters wear?

Firefighters wear protective clothing  so they don't  get burnt or hurt. Firefighters protect all part of their bodies from getting burnt by wearing gloves and helmets with visor.   As a firefighter you need a helmet and a visor to protect them from the fire and  the also wear gloves to protect their hands from the hot metal if they have to pull someone out from the hot metal. A breathing apparatus can be help full in a fire the poisonous gases if they breath in the poisonous gases they might die. If they do breath in the poisonous gases good think they have the oxygen tank so they can breath clean. They can help firefighter to not breath into the poisonous gases if they breath in the poisonous gases they might die.

Matariki is the Maori new year. It is so important  because of the seven stars. The seven stars a the seven sister they can do wonderful things. and they can make wonderful things to  when their  mum and dad got separation they were so happy but one of the brothers was so angry with his brothers. he will never forgive  them  he showed his anger at his brothers he made storms and rain

the lighthouse

High on a hill above the village stood a lighthouse. Its beams of light where a warming for ships to stay away. There were treacherous rocks below.

The people that lived in the village were celebrating. The lighthouse keeper was an old solitary man, he slammed the window with annoyance. Suddenly he heard a weird, clicking noise, then the whole lighthouse plunged into darkness.

The lighthouse  keeper looked out the window and there was a big boat coming towards the headlands. The lighthouse keeper thought to himself “If I don’t stop the boat, the people will be hurt and it will be all my fault.” Then, he had a solution and the villagers had the same solution! They came marching up the hill with their lamps in hand and the lighthouse keeper  was so happy that he cried. They managed to surround the whole lighthouse so that the boat could see the rocks and swerve around them.

A bald man was strolling along eating and then he noticed he had spilt some food on his tie.

Suddenly a strange box came out of nowhere and hit him on the head. He got so angry that he gave it a mighty kick, then he noticed lots of boxes all around him. But there was a different box that would not move. He climbed up a tower of boxes and he jumped off when he got to the top but missed the different box.

When he was lying on the ground he looked underneath the unusual box and he noticed a red button. He was scared to push it. He decided to press the button, and then it began to spin and make a weird noise, it dragged his tie towards itself and he was so creeped out.

The box then began dragging his hands and legs into itself, then he was sucked into the box completely. The box dropped and rolled along the ground, the man was never seen again.

The Switch

A balding man was strolling along the road. he had just finished his lunch and was licking his lips “Oh bother” he thought to himself “ I've split  food on my brand new tie.

Jimmy's marshmallows

On a cold cloudy night Jimmy was roasting   marshmallows on a sizzling fire. He was in the middle of a forest in a small clearing.

But then he heard a scary noise. Jimmy  thought in his head, “What was that?”  Suddenly a monster appeared out of the bush. It was so creepy with it’s sharp pointed teeth and his super duper evil eyes.

The monster started to do tricks so that Jimmy would feed him marshmallows. Soon Jimmy realised there were no more marshmallows left! The monster became evil again. Jimmy felt horrified. He had to desperately try and come up with brilliant idea. Ah ha he thought! Jimmy ran to his tent and tried defend himself with his pillow!

The monster thought the pillow was a giant marshmallow. Jimmy threw the pillow with all his strength. The monster fetched the pillow and Jimmy ran away into the forest as fast as he could!  The monster went over to the bonfire because he wanted to roast the ‘marshmallow.’ When the monster held the pillow over the fire, it burnt to ashes.

On a cold April morning before the sun the rises every year across Australia and New Zealand thousands of people gather around monuments to show respect.

It falls on April 25th (Anzac day) as this is the day anzac troops were fighting in Gallipoli.  

At the dawn parade the soldiers marched in a straight long line. A person played the last post on the bugle, to remember the soldiers who died to save us.

The dawn parade is so important because it is for the people who died for us to save our country.

Yesterday on a cold  morning  Pt england school had an immersion assembly in the school hall. We were going to discover what we will be learning about this term. Room 11 and 12 walked nicely  in a line to the hall.

The leaf blower lifted up Mr Somerville off the ground. Mr Barks asked for a helper to try the hovercraft, Mr Somerville went to be the helper. He jumped on the hovercraft and gilded across the stage.

Team 4 made a  superhero  video game it was really cool.  Team 4’s superhero game was really funny because Mr Somerville got defeated by Mrs Jacobsen and her fish.     

Yes  because  i wanted   for someone to  test the hovercraft yes because it   well be so fun.

Pt England school were lucky enough to go to pt England beach last week on friday. We were going to enjoy our day and have fun in the sun at our annual school picnicMy  favourite part was playing with tom me and Tom rolled down the hill and we had so much fun in the sun. and then we watched some people throwing some frisbees to get a prize.Write here  My 2 favouite part was when me and Tom where roll down the heelWrite here I felt so excited when we left i was happy becauce i had a very good day

class 11 and 12  went to motat last week on a drizzly monday morning we were going to learn about old and new inventions we took a ride on old bumpy school bus when class 11 and 12 arrived at motat  we waited in the waiting room for Kathrene to give us our rules.  Then we got split up  in to 3 groups to start our day.We had a chance to explore motat we went  to the earthquake cafe  it  shook very, very hard. I felt so scared.
